Identify the equipment in the viewing room
Before using an Android phone as a remote for a Get IPTV setup, identify the television or streaming box you actually control. This guide concerns compatible Google TV or Android TV equipment and the Google TV app; it is not a separate Get IPTV remote app. Keep the physical remote nearby while setting up. If several devices appear, check with the household which one belongs to the viewing room instead of choosing the first name.
Complete pairing on your own screens
Google's instructions pair the phone using a code shown on the television. Read the selected device name on the phone and confirm that the expected television displays the request before entering its code. Keep that code within the pairing flow; do not send it to an unfamiliar contact. If the expected screen shows no request, stop and confirm the equipment rather than repeatedly trying other visible devices. Follow the current official instructions because app labels can change.
Test navigation before opening the player
First check a simple action, such as moving around the device's home screen. Then open your usual player and see whether its controls respond. Phone text entry depends on the equipment and the player's fields; if it is unavailable, use the physical remote. Pairing does not install a player, activate a service or alter a plan. If you need Get IPTV support, report the device model and which navigation action failed, without including private login information.
